Great Concept, But Keep the Charger Close

"I’ve used the Thermomix® Sensor a couple of times now, and overall, it’s a fantastic addition to the TM7 ecosystem, though it does have a distinct quirk you need to watch out for. The core functionality is excellent for hitting exact internal temperatures, but the bluetooth range is where things get a bit disingenuous. During a recent bake, the probe completely lost connection while inside the oven in the middle of cooking. The frustrating part? The probe was less than three feet away from the charger at the time. After scrambling to figure out why it dropped, I realized the oven walls heavily shield the signal. To get it to work reliably, I had to move the charger base almost directly next to the oven door. Once you learn to keep the charger practically glued to the side of the appliance, it works flawlessly and pulls the guesswork out of baking and roasting. It easily earns 4 stars for accuracy and integration, just don't trust the advertised range if there's an oven door in the way."

incredible disappointing product

"we had high hopes for this product, but sadly the range is so limited that the thermomix being on the left side of the kitchen and the BBQ about 10ft away from it outside were not able to communicate and now we have a shiny paperweight in the kitchen."

"When you have to use other heat sources, like the oven, this helps make sure that you get the same precise results you'd get cooking in your Thermomix. Not only does it tell you the internal temperature of whatever it is you're cooking (e. g. , meat, cakes) but it also measures the external temperature and estimates how quickly things will heat up and the completion time."
