The Varoma Lid is dishwasher-safe. Place it into the top rack of the dishwasher to avoid deformation resulting from exposure to higher temperatures and pressure from items above. Hand wash with warm soapy water. Thoroughly clean all parts of the Thermomix® TM6® after every use.

The Varoma Lid is made of Polypropylene. All materials that come into contact with food are FDA approved and BPA free.

Cover works fine, but beware that if you don’t buy this with the base, you will incur a separate shipping charge.

"The lid is good and works with the base. However, I'm dissatisfied that, when I purchased the based, as week prior, that the website did not tell me that I also needed the cover. So, I had to order the cover separately and pay an additional $14 shipping cost, whereas, if the website told me when I purchased the base, that I should also consider purchasing the cover, it would have been helpful. I understand that the website does say that on the varoma base that it does not include the cover, but it really should be in large print outside of the description, as the pictures all show the varoma base with the cover, and you only don't realize that the cover is not included when you click on the description."
