Essential and Powerful, But Missing Some Basic Conveniences

"After a month of heavy use, the Thermomix® TM7™ Mixing Bowl gets a solid 4 stars. It is an incredibly well-built, heavy-duty piece of engineering that handles intense heat and high-speed blending without breaking a sweat, but it definitely comes with some daily design frustrations. Bulky and Clunky: The bowl is undeniably heavy and awkward to handle, especially when trying to scrape out thicker batters or sauces with one hand. It takes up a massive amount of real estate in the sink or dishwasher. Hard to Clean: Food easily gets trapped underneath and around the geometry of the blades. Unless you run a pre-clean cycle every single time, getting it pristine by hand is a chore. Flying Blind: Because of the opaque stainless steel design and the narrow lid opening, you can't easily look inside to check on the texture or progress of your food while it's actively cooking or blending. No "Blade-Free" Mode: It’s frustrating that you can't use the bowl as a simple, open heating vessel. Even if you use the blade cover or reverse mode, you are forced to cook with the blade assembly installed. Despite the clunkiness and rigid design, it does exactly what it's built to do, transfer heat evenly and withstand a beating. It’s an essential workhorse, even if it isn't the most user-friendly."
