5 Best Non-Dairy Milk Recipes on Cookidoo

From oat milk to almond milk and everything in between, there is a dairy-free milk option for everyone and we have all the recipes *exclusively* here on Cookidoo.

Oat Milk


Health Benefits: Not only is Oat Milk extremely delicious but it has a lot of nutritional value to offer! One health benefit is that it is very high in fiber and has twice the amount compared to cow's milk. Additionally, it is cholesterol-free and helps regulate blood sugar levels.

Tips: The oats can be soaked for several hours (even overnight) if desired. According to our Recipe Development Team, soaking softens the oats and makes them easier to digest. And if you would like a thicker milk, be sure to reduce the amount of water.



Hemp Milk


Health Benefits: Where to begin? Hemp seeds, which are derived from the hemp plant, are small and crunchy and contain all of the amino acids (proteins) essential for the body. They are also extremely high in omega-3 and omega-6. These seeds have been known to reduce joint pain, improve gut health, and reduce sugar cravings.

Tips: If you are looking for a bit of a sweet flavor in your Hemp Milk, add two dried and pitted dates. You can also add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract before blending!




Soy Milk



Health Benefits: Soy milk is full of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that can help improve brain and cardiovascular health. It is rich in omega-3 fatty acids and is a great source of potassium which can help lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels.

Tips: If you prefer an oat-flavored soy milk, our Recipe Development Team recommends adding cooked oats and blending them into the milk. Be sure to consume within three days.



Cashew Milk


Health Benefits: Cashews are rich in lutein and zeaxanthin which can help prevent damage to your eyes. Cashews also may improve blood sugar control - especially in people with diabetes. Additionally, they are good for healthy and glowing skin...sounds great, right?

Tips: Our Recipe Development Team recommends shaking well before drinking as Cashew Milk has a tendency to separate. And for additional sweetness, add two dried pitted dates with water and vanilla before blending.




Cinnamon Macadamia Nut Milk


Health Benefits: There are several health benefits to Macadamia Milk as well as it being incredibly tasty. It is low in carbs and high in healthy fats - which is the key to a creamy glass of milk.

Tips: While the recipe calls for vanilla bean paste, it can also be substituted measure-for-measure with vanilla extract.
