Essential Ingredients You Need In Your Pantry Now

One of the best things about having a Thermomix in your kitchen is that you can quite literally cook up a five-star meal with any leftover food you have lying around. All you have to do is head to Cookidoo, type in the ingredients you want to use, and boom. Dinner is served! But it never hurts to make sure you have the essentials in your pantry, just in case. Luckily, we know all of the essential ingredients you will need to have on hand.

The Basics

Let's get started with the bare minimum you need to have around. Of course, you need your olive oil and vegetable oil. Secondly, it is always good to have all-purpose flour (yes, you can even make it with your Thermomix) and granular sugar on hand, you never know when it will come in handy. And last but not least, salt and pepper. These are the staples for any recipe!

What To Keep In The Fridge

A slightly stocked fridge is better than a completely empty fridge, right? Think about it like this: what do you need the next morning after returning home late from a vacation? At least eggs, milk, butter, and cream, for our coffee lovers. And you can't go wrong with ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard, and cheese. If you have these, you can make it until your next trip to the grocery store!

Canned Goods

You can't go wrong with having canned goods in the pantry as backup, you never know when you may need them. So which canned goods are essential to have in your pantry? Your favorite canned vegetables, canned beans, tomato sauce, tomato paste, and marina sauce. And let's not forget, chicken stock. It's that one ingredient that can really make or break a recipe.

Dry Goods

Almost as important as canned goods, there are several ingredients in the "dry goods" category that you need to have in your kitchen. First and foremost, pasta. Any kind of pasta works...just make sure you have it plenty stocked because who doesn't love a tasty carbonara dish? Besides that, make sure to have rice, lentils, and bread crumbs in your pantry because you just never know when you may need it.

Keep It In The Dark

Do you know the best place to store your potatoes, onions, and garlic? In a dark, dry place. So even though you can't always see them, just make sure you have enough of them for when you need them! Search "potato" in Cookidoo and you will find at least 147 recipes that include potatoes, the more you know.

Condiments

Which condiments are essential to keep in your pantry? Vinegars, soy sauce, and hot sauce. And you know which dishes go best with some extra hot sauce? Creamy Buffalo Chicken Pasta, Stir-Fried Tofu in Hot Sauce, and Buffalo Chicken Wings...just to name a few.

Spices

And finally, get your spice rack ready because your taste buds will thank you for that extra flavor. Wondering which spices you need? Dried basil (of course), bay leaves, chili powder, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, and onion powder.
